6 Surprising Observations About Reno

  1. If you’re into dance (and you should be), be sure to see performances by the Sierra Nevada Ballet. The founder and artistic director is the ex-wife of a friend of mine (but she and I don’t know each other). Be there for sure if there’s tap dancing in the show and you will see my friend, Sam Weber — probably one of the best tap dancers alive — and their daughter Ananda.

  2. Wow! Thanks for letting me know! We are constantly exploring so we will check it out.

  3. You’re gonna love the scenery and proximity to Truckee (darling town) and Lake Tahoe. My sister lives there and her hubby works at the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino. Down to earth and genuine people who will help you with whatever you need. Her college-aged son has friends and they can schlep. An introduction would be my privilege.

  4. Try the Basque food—something rare in America—and a true vestige of the old West.

  5. Wow ladies! Thanks for the input. Bonnie – yes, I welcome meeting your sister and hubby. Love the Grand Sierra!

  6. Whoa! When did this move all happen? Did I blink too long? Didn’t see this coming. Sounds like its working out even better than expected. Congratulations!
P.S. Is there a Patriots Nation in Reno or are you it?

  7. I’m definitely not in Patriots country here so apparently it’s time to start a fan club!
