The Secret to Delegating: Attack Your Mindset First!
You’ve probably heard 1,000 times that you should delegate, but there are 2 parts to the equation: getting the mindset to do it and actually doing it.
All of the entrepreneurs I coach know they should be delegating, but aren’t because of a warped mindset playing in their head. The soundtrack plays like this:
BUT, it’s too expensive to delegate – Yes, you need to pay for good talent, BUT what’s the cost of not delegating? Are you spending your limited time sending routine email, tracking packages, ordering office supplies or even cleaning your house? These tasks are not a good use of your brilliance.
I can do those things! – Of course you can! Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
I am not a diva; I don’t need “my people to check with your people” – Sometimes having someone else schedule your appointments or track your calendar ensures that boundaries are kept. Let me ask you: is exercise on your schedule? How about date night? A massage? A balanced life requires time for self, health, and wealth.
I don’t have the money to hire anyone! – There is always a leap of faith in hiring your first support person. The moment you get help, you will likely double your revenue. If you have any dreams of expanding your business and income, the time is today!
My business has grown exponentially thanks to Mandy Rodriguez of Mandy Organizes, Marcie Laws of Mirabella Care, and Lisa Schulteis, an Infusionsoft Certified Consultant at ElectraLime Marketing.
